Workshop Leaders
Gareth Maclachlan is Chief Operating Officer at Adaptive Mobile. Prior to founding AdaptiveMobile in 2003, Gareth was Wireless Investment Director at global VC firm ETF Group, and Principal Consultant at PWC, responsible for the UK e-business practice.
At GCHQ, Gareth led projects with the UK Home Office, National Criminal Intelligence Service, Interpol and other UK and European security bodies to assess and respond to the emerging national threats from the Internet. Gareth has also been a board member for mobile marketing companies, and was involved in a joint venture with Kirch Gruppe on mobile entertainment. Mike Whitty is Director of Product Management at Adaptive Mobile based in the companies Dublin HQ. His responsibilities include product strategy and roadmap. Mike started his career in software development with a number of New Zealand start-ups. He then moved to the Compaq New Zealand and then Hewlett Packard New Zealand Application Development Centre where he led projects for the NZ Ministry of Social Welfare, and Vodafone.
