Tim Adler is editor of Screen Finance, which covers European film and television funding. Its target audience is accountants, bankers and lawyers who service the European audiovisual industry. Screen Finance has been described as "highly influential" by the London Evening Standard and "invaluable" by the BBC.
Adler recently published his first book, "The Producers: money, movies and who really calls the shots" (Methuen, 2004), which the University of London has adopted as a set text for its MA in film and television production. Bloomsbury, publisher of Harry Potter in the UK, has commissioned Adler to write a second book about Hollywood, due to be published in 2006.
In addition, Adler has written about structural problems facing the European film industry for, among others, the Financial Times, the Daily Telegraph and the Independent. He has also moderated conferences in Canada, Denmark and Holland for various organisations including the Council of Europe.
