James Baker is managing editor of regional reports at Informa Telecoms & Media. Prior to this, James worked as a business technology reporter on a daily newspaper, before moving to edit consumer and business titles covering IT and telecoms. James has also worked as senior reporter on Global Mobile and 3G Mobile Research Services and editor of Middle East & Africa Wireless Analyst and Eastern European Wireless Analyst.

John is Editor of Middle East & Africa Wireless Analyst. Prior to this he worked as a senior research analyst within Informa Telecoms & Media’s Data team, focusing on Africa and the Middle East. John has been quoted extensively in the international press and is a regular speaker at regional conferences. John joined Informa Telecoms & Media in September 2002. He previously worked at the Business Information Centre at PricewaterhouseCoopers in London. John holds a BA in Arabic and History from the school of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.
